Supply Chain Engineer

$80-100K + bonus

PURPOSE:
The Supply Chain Engineer will help drive continuous improvement in companywide strategies, analytics, methodologies, and systems to create a competitive advantage, enable excellent customer facing experiences and optimal use of company resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Conduct analysis and develop recommendations on various supply chain strategy projects that involve complex cost/benefit tradeoffs, e.g. number, location, and sizing of production and distribution facilities
* Support the practical application of supply chain technology and interfaces
* Develop and implement data collection tools that drive supply chain optimization with a focus on Warehousing and Distribution specifically
* Engage the supply chain organization in addressing continuous improvement and change/project management gaps in order to develop strategic action plans for improvement.
* Effectively develop solutions to unstructured business problems and influence others through both oral presentations and written documentation
* Identify opportunity and risks within the network and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize cost and service while mitigating network risks
* Design solutions and construct responses to client/provider needs in the areas of warehouse and Distribution optimization
* Assist with determination of feasibility of designing new facility or modifying existing facilities while factoring costs, available space, schedule limitations, company goals, technical requirements, and economic factors
* Identify and solve for supply chain impacts related to acquisitions and operational acquisition activities
* Serve as a team leader, team member and/or sponsor for cross-functional teams, as needed, in order to help the company continuously improve
* Build strong and positive working relationships across the organization, including understanding their training, project and talent development needs
* Conduct all activities and behaving in a method that is strictly consistent with the Company’s CITE Principles and Supporting Values while striving to pursue the Company achieve its Vision

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Education, Experience and Skills
* BS or MS degree preferably in Engineering, Logistics and Transportation or a Business degree, a Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) is a plus
* 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or Continuous Improvement
* Experience with distribution and warehouse management systems and technologies a plus
* Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to develop trusted relationships with all levels and roles in the organization
* Experience with analytics topics such as simulation, statistical analysis, probability, data extraction, input, and cleansing
* Experience with data analysis tools and enablers such as SQL, MS Project, MS Excel, etc.
* Prior experience or knowledge of supply chain topics such as, Warehouse Management Systems, inventory slotting, or process flow optimization is preferred
* Must be able to learn various software solutions to obtain data, support analysis, and implement routing improvements
* Creative thinking, problem solving, and orientation to detail are essential to the role
* Lean certification and Six Sigma certification are desired, but not required
