Continuous Improvement Manager

$110-140K + Bonus

  • BS Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Applied Science, or similar preferred with Ten plus years of progressive levels Process Engineering at Manager or Director levels needed, strong lean acumen with solid presentation Lean Tool Box development, kaizen presentation experience, multiple site applications
  • Industries which can be similar chemical, plastics extrusion, resin, molding industries with and some engineered to order fabrication, HDPE (Polyethylene or similar) JIT environment
  • Oversight includes development and oversight of process improvement management, training, employee engagement, overall lean Daily Management System development.
  • Proven experience producing a robust lean process and strategies in concert with the company objectives / vision including Lean talent development, scorecard development, workplace organization, visual management, and cross functional training where applicable
  • Multiple shift, 250 350, expanding growth currently – $200M level expected 20% growth year/year, main operations are West Chicago
  • Reports directly to President and dotted line to the VP Manufacturing.
  • Metrics driven, KPI Policy Deployment engagement Day to day lean deployment
  • Managing process improvement for optimized production and quality
  • Measurables include Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Talent
  • Functional lean leadership able to impact results and culture change, goal oriented, secure leadership qualities, results oriented
  • Project management experience, fast paced environment, team atmosphere, good well rounded / determined personality needed
  • Focus is manufacturing with cross functional responsibilities with Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing / Sales, and Engineering and R&D.
  • Must have current lean leadership with lean manufacturing, production line efficiencies, engineering process improvement, 5S, Value Stream practices, point of use, work place organization, kaizen directed and visual management experienced Six Sigma a plus with primary focus on process improvement manufacturing.
  • English speaking, hands on with shop level, solid communications, eager to achieve success
