$100-115K + bonus

Ensure best in class, high quality products are developed and delivered meeting time, cost, and quality requirements as defined by the commitments documented in the agreed scope of work and shop drawings. Work with sales on the front end to define Roberns approach to the job, working with design, engineering and production to provide a well-executed, profitable and timely proposal for the sales team, setting up the job for production and delivery and acting as liaison with the customer.

Autonomously manage the bid to build process and communicate to management on a variety of processes and technical issues. Has respected knowledge of major system components both within Roberns capabilities as well as commercial construction. Anticipates and manages tasks/risks within each phase of a project.

Defines decision-making process for all stakeholders. Coaches assigned project team personnel to develop and implement cross-functional solutions to complex issues from fabrication through delivery to installation.

Makes informed decisions in the event that the project team cannot. Decisions made are critical and have significant financial and schedule impact to the project/company.

Manages multiple projects simultaneously.

Establish and maintain relationships with management for the purpose of aligning Collaborative Design objectives and removing obstacles for project completion.

Prioritize cross-functional human resources along each step of the bid through deliver process.

Provide performance expectations and evaluation for cross-functional resources on project teams. This input will be provided to the appropriate supervisor and will have equal weight with that of functional performance expectations and evaluations.

Work with management to continually improve the Collaborative Design process and organization.

Participate in all technical reviews of custom product engineering designs.

Participate in all technical reviews of custom product design changes.

Provide performance expectations and evaluation of project engineers, analysts and their supervision relative to technical skill and discipline.

Coordinate external suppliers and subcontractors in the execution of custom work.

Purchase prototypes and procure design work to satisfy any custom project needs. Be resourceful while assessing, recommending, and coordinating internal and external design resource including but not limited to external consultants, design engineering based outside of US, outsourcing agents and design engineers.

 

Requirements;

Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline from a ABET accredited Engineering school required (or international equivalent). 7-10 years of experience in concurrent project supervision and development. Five-to-seven years of increasing responsibility for project and people management involving a broad range of building infill products and services. Results must demonstrate an ability to work cross functionally, make sound decisions and drive action across all stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Experience in metal work and CAD a plus.
