120-140K + bonus

Job Description:
 

  • Develops and maintains relationship with suppliers, vendors and contractors located in the West Coast U.S. and Mexico; Asia-Pacific
  • Manages purchasing activities to maintain integrity of the process and minimize total costs
  • Create savings when possible
  • Evaluates purchasing requirements, market conditions and price trends
  • Responsible for attending and following up on Internal / External Audits.
  • Supports the development of new business, product redesign, cost-estimates; Production scale-up
  • Coordinate annual price negotiations with providers
  • Review specifications in purchase requisitions / shopping baskets to ensure that purchasing process covers all requirements.
  • Advise internal clients when quotation requests arrive, to connect them to the best possible supplier.
  • Coordinate annual plan of recurring purchases to guarantee supply.
  • Audit entries to ensure materials are properly made and on time, in order to detect possible errors derived from incorrect merchandise entries.
  • Process urgent payments or urgent special conditions, when required

 

 

Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical-Engineering/Controls a plus
  • Technical background, possibly in industrial automation
  • Knowledge about suppliers operations and vendors
  • 5-7 years in Purchasing area
  • 2-3 years in technical purchases (desirable)
  • Conducts business in English and Spanish
