We are looking for an experienced S&OP Planner to join our Duluth Georgia Operation. This person will report directly to the Director of North American Supply Chain. We are looking for a strong, self-motivated candidate who can perform in a fast paced and agile environment that offers exposure to our Manufacturing Operations, working with cross functional teams, and career growth. Summary/Objective

Leading the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, focusing on delivering a concise business message, highlighting exceptions and presenting qualified alternatives.

 

Essential Functions

  • Refine and execute best in practice S&OP processes.
    • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, focusing on delivering a concise business message, highlighting exceptions and presenting qualified alternatives.
    • Evaluate Sales and Marketing activity proposals for capacity requirements and production feasibility; resolve supply issues related to the requests.
    • Develop, implement and manage a robust SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process.
    • Provide leadership with insight necessary to drive risk mitigation activities including capacity constraints, demand and mix shifts, customer forecasts and variation, etc.
    • Analyzing customer forecasts, production plans, and major raw material plans to develop an integrated business plan that incorporates, new product development and strategic volume initiatives.
    • Identify critical capacity constraints and develop strategies eliminate/reduce.

 

  • Monitor ongoing conformance to plan and performance metrics:
    • Develop, monitor and report key performance metrics
    • Improve plan performance by effectively analyzing sources of error and recommending appropriate corrective action plans.
    • Foster cross-functional discussion to improve the quality and interpretation of supply plans
    • Conduct regular continuous improvement and process effectiveness/efficiency reviews.
    • Help manage supply issues, shutdowns, new demands, unhealthy stock levels;

 

 

Competencies/Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required (technical field preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of business experience preferred
  • Strong analytical acumen; ability to think critically, provide recommendations and/or use models to optimize decision making between demand, supply, sales & operations
  • Advanced in the use of MS office, especially MS Excel; Expert at developing, improving, and utilizing excel-based modeling
  • Previous experience with statistical forecasting software, business planning/S&OP, and a working understanding of statistical modelling is a plus; job role will require candidate to develop high proficiency in the use of specified statistical software
  • Understanding of products, categories and channels in the label/receipts industry is a plus
  • Strong team player with willingness to collaborate across different departments, sometimes virtually
  • Minimal travel required; up to once per quarter
