Supply Chain Manager

$85-95K + bonus

 

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the supply chain strategy for a manufacturing facility in the Morristown, TN area.This is a consumer products company which has multiple U.S. facilities. The Supply Chain Manager will be accountable and responsible for developing and implementing the supply chain strategy that maximizes buying, on time delivery, lead time, quality, and logistic solutions. This position will produce improved cash flow and financial consistency.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Actively participate and drive tactical and strategic business decisions.

Develop and lead the execution of MRP that supports supply chain objectives for Supplier OTD, Inventory, Supplier Quality, and Supplier Lead Times.

Implementing reduced cycles, and improved supplier OTD by developing, implementing and managing pull-based material replenishment processes, vendor managed inventory and supplier consignments.

Eliminate waste and result in breakthrough results (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Growth) throughout the Supply Chain.

Drive continuous improvement in the supply base by communicating objective performance metrics, focused on on-time delivery improvement, quality improvement, freight compliance and cost reduction.

Actively champion the Supply Chain System of management along with input regarding the Operational vision for the company.

Manage a team which includes buyers and materials personnel.

Coordinate material logistics operations with operations to ensure on-time delivery and freight compliance.

When required assist the buyer/planner in expediting material to support daily production operations.

Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Supply Chain or Materials role, at least 3 of which were in a management role.
  • Direct experience implementing supply chain systems, vendor management and coordination for best efficiencies.
  • Prior experience implementing supplier standardization, on time delivery standards based upon forecast and overall project timing.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite software (e.g. Word, Excel, MS project, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
