Facilitate and implement payrollprocesses andprocedures to create an error proof payroll.
Overseepreparation and distribution of the company’s payrolland bonus programs, act aspayrollbackup when necessary
Ensure all payrolls are processed timely and accurately
Resolvepayroll, wage and taxinquires with a high degree of quality and accuracy
Set up and register and maintain our business with local and state tax authorities.
Ensure local, state and federal requirements are implemented and operating as required.
Supportperiod end close procedures for payroll related activities including general ledger interface and relevant account reconciliations.
Ensure preparedness for audits(weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly), internal, financial, Workers Comp,etc
Manages projects such as survey participation and analysis and compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions.
Works with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the [HRIS software] system meets compensationand payrollneeds and is uptodate.
Assists HR managers and other managers with compensation-related issues.
Gather data and perform statistical analysis and interpretation of information to develop and adjust salary grades in accord with company goals
Work with HR to classify job descriptions for all current and open positions, working in conjunction with hiring managers to define duties and responsibilities while ensuring regulatory compliance(really should be in HR)
Keep up with pending changes that will affect hiring, earnings and benefits, such as adjustments to minimum wage
Create models and projections for retention and bonus programs, showing annual and fiscal impact for each alternative
